Insight Ranks #7 on Triangle Business Journal’s ‘Best Places to Work’ in Raleigh-Durham
Insight’s North Carolina team adapts its meaningful connections with community, clients to a digital environment
TEMPE, Ariz., September 25, 2020 – Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ:NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, was named the seventh best place to work among medium-sized businesses (50-99 employees) in the Raleigh-Durham region by the Triangle Business Journal during a virtual awards ceremony held Sept. 11.
The Business Journal announced its “2020 Best Places to Work” winners across four categories of business size. A total of 50 companies were recognized based on employee responses to a survey by Quantum Workplace rating workplace features, teamwork, employee morale and trust, and philanthropy.
Insight’s Raleigh office of 70 teammates focuses on Digital Innovation solutions for clients in the Raleigh-Durham, Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Wilmington areas of North Carolina. The team provides transformative services centered on cloud enablement, data and artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and other intelligent applications.
“With the transition this year to a remote work environment, our North Carolina team has done a tremendous job keeping an engaging and productive work culture intact across digital channels,” said Ken Lamneck, president and CEO of Insight. “This is a team known for its creativity and giving spirit, and they’ve helped keep our clients focused on transforming to meet the times, particularly when finding ways to run smarter as a business is more necessary than ever.”
Besides providing tailor-made managed solutions for adapting to a more digital way of life, Insight’s Digital Innovation team in North Carolina contributed to the development of the Insight Connected Platform for Detection and Prevention, a flexible and scalable IoT platform to help organizations detect symptoms and prevent the spread of viruses in high-traffic spaces. The Connected Platform creates a centralized means to manage an organization’s IoT devices and its processes for looking after people’s well-being in addition to day-to-day business operations.
Insight teammates based in North Carolina also devote time to giving back. For example, Scrum.org-certified Professional Scrum Trainers on staff have been working with Year Up, a nonprofit workforce development program, to provide free training on the Scrum agile framework for young professionals interested in software development. Another teammate has demonstrated Insight’s values of hunger, heart and harmony by running a Charlotte-based nonprofit organization that supports visually impaired and other adaptive athletes with sighted guides and training equipment.
“We have worked diligently to maintain meaningful connections with our community, our clients and our teammates even as we’ve gone more digital this year. It’s a healthy mix of challenging work projects, finding creative ways to remain social and doing good for our hometowns. We’re feeding that positive atmosphere through things like virtual teammate happy hours and open ‘coffee breaks,’ hosting forums on contemporary topics like diversity and inclusion, and continuing our charitable outreach to stay true to our purpose of making a difference through technology,” said Holly Leyda, Insight’s senior sales manager in Raleigh.
