It’s not enough to just migrate to the cloud, as a lot of organizations are discovering.

To give you an idea, a whopping 85% of enterprises are projected to adopt cloud-first principles by 2025. So, the ones that haven’t yet will probably be looking to join competitors sooner rather than later — and not just to keep pace, but to take advantage of the benefits the cloud provides.

However, moving to the cloud is not without its challenges. While some opt to tackle those obstacles themselves, it’s an undeniable drain on resources that some smaller outfits simply aren’t equipped to face alone. That’s why we launched Insight Managed Cloud Services. It’s an offering that meets demand, with managed services being a priority for 79% of small and medium businesses and 97% of upper-midmarket firms. It also fills an ever-growing need — many needs, in fact.

The cloud computing challenges every organization faces

According to “The Path to Digital Transformation” survey, which Insight commissioned Foundry to conduct, there are many roadblocks preventing organizations from achieving cloud-computing success. For example, 38% of respondents (leaders at companies of different sizes) cited the following among their top obstacles:

  • Integrating cloud resources
  • Securing cloud resources
  • Monitoring/managing performance and reliability
Top challenges to public and/or hybrid cloud deployment. 1 in 5 are repatriating cloud workloads to an on-premises model.

Other challenges include the migration of core business applications (30%), controlling public cloud costs (26%) and a lack of in-house cloud development skills/expertise (26%). With regard to the latter, the survey revealed 84% of respondents plan to turn to third-party providers to enable their digital transformation.

Enter Insight and our managed cloud services, our first truly global cloud offering. In whichever region your cloud assets are located, Insight provides the same management capabilities from our managed cloud center of excellence.
