In the highly competitive world of cloud services, our client, a prominent cloud provider, was ready to grow and differentiate. The company was preparing to open upward of 18 new data centers worldwide, each potentially costing millions of dollars — and its CIO had a goal to get strategic about cost, management and capacity planning. The client also wanted to shift focus from hardware management to understanding its own customers' unique consumption requirements.
Insight proposed a comprehensive as-a-service solution that would address the predicament head-on. Leveraging the NetApp® Storage as a Service (STaaS) program, Insight collaborated closely with the client to develop an agreed-upon rate card, offering standardized pricing across all data centers.
