Insight’s Supply Chain Optimization solutions simplify the process of procuring, maintaining and replacing the technology clients invest in to run their business.
Over the past 30 years, a manufacturing business developed sensing solutions for more than 300 million vehicles. With nine locations across Europe, North America and Asia, the company served a vast number of consumers across the automotive, building management and security, sports and healthcare industries. Looking to expand its reach, it decided to open a tenth location in Michigan.
This effort would require IT support for the manufacturer’s core networking, edge networking and wireless infrastructure. While the business had a general plan based on its European sites, many of the technologies it used abroad didn’t transfer to the United States. It needed dedicated consultation for best products and solutions for its new U.S.-based location.
The company reached out to Insight. Our Supply Chain Optimization team worked to find equipment equivalent to the tools the client already used at its Luxemburg center. Throughout the process, we made sure transparency and honesty about pricing was a priority. We tested several data center solutions, but Cisco switches and Aruba networking pulled ahead as the two offerings the client preferred due to familiarity and effectiveness.
Leveraging our partnerships with Cisco and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, we were able to offer competitive pricing on both solutions, which ultimately won us the deal over two other competitors. The trust we had built throughout the vetting processes also opened the door for additional discussions around phone systems, monitors and more.
With its Michigan location receiving the IT support needed to execute daily operations, the company is ready to expand its reach, improving its global positioning and enhancing its ability to pursue continued growth.
