This global asset manager, focused on delivering long-term value, sought to transform its IT landscape. The primary goal was to modernize its VMware environment and align workloads for global deployment, ensuring enhanced operations, automation, and visibility through the integration of Aria Suite. A critical component was to streamline the migration of legacy on-premises and Zerto-protected workloads to Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
Discovery and design
Insight’s approach began with comprehensive Discovery & Design workshops involving IT and business leaders. This included a thorough review of legacy VMware, Zerto, and Azure Landing Zones. A global AVS architecture was designed for six locations, along with strategies for migration, backup, and automation.
Deployment
The Deployment & Optimization phase involved deploying Aria Suite (Lifecycle, Identity Manager, Operations, Operations for Network, VCF Automation), conducting rightsizing assessment and optimization workshops, integrating with ServiceNow for workflow automation, and executing Zerto migration and cutover testing.
