Insight’s Supply Chain Optimization solutions simplify the process of procuring, maintaining and replacing the technology clients invest in to run their business.
A nonprofit publishing organization was looking to expand its security portfolio without increasing expenses. Despite having a few security products in its environment, the organization’s growing network made it difficult for the existing security software to keep up.
Servicing customers in more than 160 countries, the organization wanted to improve its IT security to mitigate threats and protect its clientele. The publishing group started its search for a provider that could help procure, deploy and manage new security systems and solutions.
After assessing multiple providers, the publishing organization decided to partner with Insight based on its previous experience working with our team. We wasted no time and set up several engagement sessions to review the organization’s environment and products. The main concern was that the response to cyberthreats was not as agile as the publishing group had hoped — due to poor visibility.
To enhance the nonprofit’s security ecosystem while making financing manageable, Insight proposed a Cisco Security Enterprise License Agreement (ELA).
The goal was to provide a simple and cost-effective security solution for the publishing organization through a Cisco ELA. With a single agreement, security management would be streamlined with all licenses located in one portal, expiring on one date.
Without hesitation, the organization embraced the proposed solution and trusted Insight to lead the way.
We knew that the publishing group previously had Identity Service Engine (ISE) and Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) platforms in place. By helping the company upgrade to Cisco’s ISE and Firepower — procured within the ELA — we ensured it received a highly secure access policy, as well as superior device visibility and control.
In addition to modernizing the publishing group’s workforce so that it could continue to meet a growing number of mobile employees, Insight deployed AnyConnect to protect remote workers. This solution would make secure endpoint access easy and straightforward for the publication’s IT team.
Throughout the process, Insight kept in close contact with the publishing organization to assist in training its IT team on how to use the newly deployed Cisco solutions. A Cisco ELA Adoption Workshop was also held to ensure that the organization knew how to maximize the full benefits of the buying program.
Within a few weeks of working closely with Insight, the organization was able to consolidate all of its previous and current security solutions into one platform with centralized management — while generating deeper insights regarding network traffic. This resulted in faster threat detection and mitigation, streamlined security policy management and significant cost savings. Now, the publishing company can guarantee that its users, customers and networks are protected 24/7 all year round.
