The client experienced several outages and highly visible backup failures with no disaster recovery solution in place. Additionally, the business was out of compliance with its Veritas licensing agreement.
Consolidation and support
Insight’s Supply Chain Optimization team proposed a global vendor consolidation strategy to maximize the company’s hardware and software investments and to bring its applications up to date.
By leveraging Insight for software procurement, the client lowered its software costs. Insight also settled the software compliance issues in the company’s favor and executed a SQL Server licensing refresh.
To address the client’s backup and recovery needs, Insight’s Cloud + Data Center Transformation team worked collaboratively with Veritas, an industry leader in data management solutions. We performed a Veritas NetBackup Health Check and, following the assessment, worked with system architects to scope an appliance strategy for the client’s data centers in the U.S. and Europe.
After implementing Veritas NetBackup, Insight hosted a five-day, on-site training program to familiarize the client’s IT administrators with the new technology.
To prevent future IT emergencies and ensure any issues could be immediately addressed, the Cloud + Data Center Transformation team recommended Insight OneCall support services. The client agreed to a multiyear contract with OneCall, which provided the organization with peace of mind knowing it had 24/7 access to technical engineers who could assist with mission-critical issues.
