About this session

What’s the difference between an intelligent edge device and a standard IoT device? In this breakout, we review the basics of intelligent edge (it’s a place, not a thing) and share our best practices for managing intelligent edge devices in the enterprise.

Background

If we think of the intelligent edge as a place and not a thing, we can understand it as a place where the data is collected — it's a manufacturing floor, it's a college campus, it's a utility power plant.
