John Carnahan
Senior Vice President Business Development and Transformation
Insight
John Carnahan is Insight’s senior vice president of business development and transformation. He joined Insight in 2007 as vice president of finance and would go on to serve as senior vice president of operations and supply chain before assuming his current role.
Carnahan is responsible for leading internal transformation projects across the business, including sales and operations. He’s led the integration activities of several acquisitions including the global integration of PCM. Additionally he’s worked on several successful projects that aligned disparate systems and processes in North America, EMEA and APAC — including the recent SAP implementation for EMEA operations to harmonize to common systems and processes globally. Reporting directly to Glynis Bryan, Insight’s chief financial officer, Carnahan is part of the North American senior management team responsible for Insight’s growth and transformation.
He received his bachelor of arts in accounting from Washington State University and became a certified public accountant after graduation. Prior to Insight, Carnahan was an assurance senior manager at KPMG. During his 9 years with KPMG, he served clients in the technology and real estate sectors — one of them being Insight Enterprises. He left KPMG in 2003 and held financial positions at Drive Time and in the commercial real estate development industry.
